DotDeaf – Language Therapy in BSL

Modules6 modules

Duration30-45 minutes per module

This course introduces ‘Language Therapy in British Sign Language’. It is designed for SLTs, deaf colleagues, and other co-workers to complete together.
Please note: as this course was created externally, if you have any questions about the content please contact joanna.hoskin@city.ac.uk.

  • The course is made up of six modules, and we recommend allocating a day per module – potentially over smaller sessions to discuss content with colleagues.
  • The course is presented in written English and BSL. This provides opportunities for colleagues to share and discuss terminology (signs and words) that are used in your workplace. It also allows deaf and hearing colleagues to share their knowledge, experience, and perspectives on theories and research related to deaf children’s language learning.
  • Additional information about the course can be found on City University’s website. There are links to support materials in English and BSL here.
  • For the text on this page in BSL, please click here.
